Our recommendations

How much downtime should I expect?

Plan on about a week. Skin feels tight and turns darker or brown before peeling over roughly 5 to 7 days, then may stay pink for a few more weeks. Many clients schedule it before a quieter week.

Is it painful?

You will feel stinging or burning while the solution is on, usually for a few minutes. Skin may feel like a sunburn for a day or two afterward.

Is a medium peel safe for darker skin?

Those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have taken isotretinoin recently, have active infection or cold sores, a history of poor wound healing or keloids, or cannot avoid the sun during recovery.
