Full Facial Balancing at Nuvera Med Spa

About this treatment

Facial balancing (sometimes called facial harmonization or profile balancing) uses hyaluronic acid filler, and sometimes a neuromodulator, to bring the proportions of your features into harmony. Instead of treating one area in isolation, your injector looks at how your forehead, cheeks, lips, chin and jawline relate to each other from the front and in profile.

Full Facial Balancing is a comprehensive plan across the face, addressing volume loss and structure from the temples and cheeks down to the chin and jawline, often staged with a review visit.

Your appointment begins with photos and a facial analysis. Your injector explains which areas will make the biggest difference and why, then places filler precisely with a fine needle or cannula. We review your result after about two weeks.

Is it right for you?

  • Volume loss in several areas, such as temples, cheeks and jawline
  • People who want a significant but natural-looking rejuvenation
  • Clients who want a complete, coordinated plan rather than piecemeal visits
  • Anyone noticing the face looks flatter or more tired with age
  • Past filler clients who want everything reassessed and rebalanced

Which option is right for me?

Full is designed for clients with volume loss in several areas, those wanting a significant but natural rejuvenation, or anyone who wants a complete plan done in a coordinated way.

Dermal fillers are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active skin infection or cold sores in the area, or with a history of severe allergic reactions. Common side effects are swelling, tenderness and bruising. Rare but serious risks, including filler entering a blood vessel, are why fillers should only be placed by a trained medical injector. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with an enzyme (hyaluronidase) if needed.

Before and after your appointment

  • If your doctor approves, avoid alcohol, fish oil, vitamin E and anti-inflammatories for 24 to 48 hours beforehand to reduce bruising.
  • Tell us about any history of cold sores; lip treatments can trigger an outbreak and we may suggest antiviral medication beforehand.
  • Expect some swelling, tenderness and possible bruising for a few days. Swelling often peaks on day two.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, heat (sauna, hot yoga) and pressure on the area for 24 to 48 hours.
  • Plan any big events at least two weeks after treatment so swelling has fully settled.

Our recommendations

  • Expect a review at about 2 weeks and, if staged, a second visit; maintenance is typically every 12 to 18 months depending on products.
  • Start at least 4 weeks before a major event so any staged visit and settling time fit comfortably.
  • Combine with Botox for forehead lines, frown lines and crow's feet for a fully refreshed look.
  • Support skin quality with Morpheus8 (RF Microneedling) or Radio Frequency (Face), scheduled about 2 weeks apart from filler as your provider advises.
  • Products may include Cheek Filler, Cheek Filler, Cheek Filler and Smile Line Filler, chosen to match each area.

Common questions

What is the difference between Mini, Signature and Full Facial Balancing?

They differ in how many areas are treated and how much product is used. Mini ($1,600) refines one focused area, Signature ($2,400) balances several areas, and Full ($3,200) is a comprehensive plan across the face. Your assessment confirms which level matches your goals, and you will know your price before treatment starts.

Is Full Facial Balancing done in one visit?

Sometimes, but it is often staged with a review visit so your injector can refine the result. Your plan and timeline are confirmed at your assessment.

How long do results last?

It depends on the product and the area. Hyaluronic acid fillers commonly last from about 6 months to 2 years; lips tend to fade sooner, while firmer products in the cheeks and chin often last longer. Your injector will tell you what to expect for each area in your plan.

Is there downtime?

Most people return to normal activities the same day. Expect swelling, tenderness and possible bruising for several days, so plan big events at least two weeks after treatment.

Will I still look like myself?

Yes. Facial balancing is about proportion and subtle structure, not changing who you are. We plan conservatively, can build in stages, and hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if ever needed.

Is facial balancing safe?

Hyaluronic acid fillers used for balancing are FDA-approved for specific areas of the face, and your injector will tell you which product is used where. Common side effects are swelling, redness, tenderness, firmness, small lumps and bruising, which usually settle within about one to two weeks. Rare but serious risks include filler entering a blood vessel, which can cause skin damage and, very rarely, vision problems or stroke. That is why filler should only be placed by a trained medical injector who knows facial anatomy and has hyaluronidase on hand. Filler is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with a history of severe allergies or anaphylaxis, or with an active infection in the area.
