Mini Facial Balancing at Nuvera Med Spa

About this treatment

Facial balancing (sometimes called facial harmonization or profile balancing) uses hyaluronic acid filler, and sometimes a neuromodulator, to bring the proportions of your features into harmony. Instead of treating one area in isolation, your injector looks at how your forehead, cheeks, lips, chin and jawline relate to each other from the front and in profile.

Mini Facial Balancing focuses on a single priority, for example projecting a soft chin, restoring cheek support or refining a jawline, so the whole face looks more balanced without a big change.

Your appointment begins with photos and a facial analysis. Your injector explains which areas will make the biggest difference and why, then places filler precisely with a fine needle or cannula. We review your result after about two weeks.

Which option is right for me?

Mini is a good fit if one area stands out to you, if you are new to filler, or if you prefer to build results gradually over more than one visit.

Dermal fillers are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active skin infection or cold sores in the area, or with a history of severe allergic reactions. Common side effects are swelling, tenderness and bruising. Rare but serious risks, including filler entering a blood vessel, are why fillers should only be placed by a trained medical injector. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with an enzyme (hyaluronidase) if needed.

Before and after your appointment

  • If your doctor approves, avoid alcohol, fish oil, vitamin E and anti-inflammatories for 24 to 48 hours beforehand to reduce bruising.
  • Tell us about any history of cold sores; lip treatments can trigger an outbreak and we may suggest antiviral medication beforehand.
  • Expect some swelling, tenderness and possible bruising for a few days. Swelling often peaks on day two.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, heat (sauna, hot yoga) and pressure on the area for 24 to 48 hours.
  • Plan any big events at least two weeks after treatment so swelling has fully settled.

Our recommendations

  • Review your result at about 2 weeks; most clients plan maintenance about every 9 to 18 months depending on the product and area.
  • Book at least 2 weeks before a big event so swelling and any bruising have settled.
  • Pair with a neuromodulator such as Botox for movement lines, so structure and smoothness improve together.
  • Products commonly used include Smile Line Filler for the chin and Cheek Filler or Cheek Filler for the cheeks; your injector chooses based on your anatomy.
  • Planning skin treatments too? Book a Hydrafacial or Dermaplaning for glow, and schedule Micro Needling or Carbon Peeling (Hollywood Facial) about 2 weeks before or after injectables, as your provider advises.

Common questions

What is the difference between Mini, Signature and Full Facial Balancing?

They differ in how many areas are treated and how much product is used. Mini ($1,600) refines one focused area, Signature ($2,400) balances several areas, and Full ($3,200) is a comprehensive plan across the face. Your assessment confirms which level matches your goals, and you will know your price before treatment starts.

Is Mini enough if I am new to filler?

For many first-timers, yes. Mini focuses on the one area that makes the biggest difference, so you can see how you like filler before doing more.

How long do results last?

It depends on the product and the area. Hyaluronic acid fillers commonly last from about 6 months to 2 years; lips tend to fade sooner, while firmer products in the cheeks and chin often last longer. Your injector will tell you what to expect for each area in your plan.

Is there downtime?

Most people return to normal activities the same day. Expect swelling, tenderness and possible bruising for several days, so plan big events at least two weeks after treatment.

Will I still look like myself?

Yes. Facial balancing is about proportion and subtle structure, not changing who you are. We plan conservatively, can build in stages, and hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if ever needed.

Is facial balancing safe?

Hyaluronic acid fillers used for balancing are FDA-approved for specific areas of the face, and your injector will tell you which product is used where. Common side effects are swelling, redness, tenderness, firmness, small lumps and bruising, which usually settle within about one to two weeks. Rare but serious risks include filler entering a blood vessel, which can cause skin damage and, very rarely, vision problems or stroke. That is why filler should only be placed by a trained medical injector who knows facial anatomy and has hyaluronidase on hand. Filler is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with a history of severe allergies or anaphylaxis, or with an active infection in the area.
